Necromancy
Necromancy is one of the oldest and most difficult forms of magic known to this day. It is defined as the power to control flesh and souls, especially that of the dead. While the power of many necromancers can do incredible things, such as bring the dead back to life (in some form or another) or control the souls of the deceased, a necromancer in his own right has a lesser, more limited power that allows him still to be effective and powerful in other ways, such as:
Spells
Soul Ripping: This spell causes agonizing pain to the person affected, as the caster temporarily rips the soul from their body. This spell lasts only 1 post.

Paralyze: The use of this spell temporarily paralyzes the person on which it is cast for a total of 3 posts.

Flesh Mending: Can mend the flesh and reattach body parts lost within 24 hours. This skill should not be confused with ‘Flesh Crafting’ which allows a person to alter the outside of another’s body.

Information Retrieval: Though extremely taxing on the Necromancer’s energy levels (sometimes for up to 24 hours), a caster can force information out of the undead. However, this spell will not work on a dead spirit whose mind was erased prior to death.
Soul Mending: One of the most difficult spells that can be cast by a single Necromancer is the spell of soul mending. It is during this very brief time, that a person can be temporarily brought back from the dead (for a total of two posting rounds). However, use of this magic removes the Necromancer’s ability to use magic for 2 RP days, and causes them to become withdrawn and exhausted from the amount of energy needed to perform this task.

Control of the Soulless: For those that are the walking dead (or do not contain a soul), a Necromancer has the ability to temporarily control them. As with all magic, this skill needs OOC consent, and the person must stay within a 5 m radius or else the bond is broken. Additionally, in this state a Necromancer cannot force the person in question to die, or else their built-in survival instincts kick-in and they can retaliate.

Blindness/Deafness: The Necromancer can temporarily deafen or blind a player, though the spell only lasts 2 post rounds.

Gentle Repose: The caster can hold the body as it, stopping it from decomposing. If there is a soul still in the body, they can hold the soul in place and stop it from leaving to the Astral Plane.

Got Friends On The Other Side: Necromancers are actually able to see and speak and interact with spirits, even if they're not visible to all around them. This skill may not be used for metagaming purposes.

Animate the Dead: Able to create an undead servant for a small period of time from piles of bones or corpses. The longer the servant lasts, the more energy it pulls from the necromancer.

Feign Death: The Necromancer is able to put the body in a sleep like state for a short amount of time (longer if mutually agreed by players) to create a death like state. The body will stop any animation but maintain alive. This curse is also known as the Sleeping Beauty Curse, or Maleficent's Touch.

Astral Projection: Necromancers are able to travel by themselves to the Astral Plane, though it's extremely taxing and dangerous, as souls tend to flock to the necromancer for aid and getting a second chance at life. Needless to say, most necromancers don't like doing it, but it's seen in many cultures as an important rite of passage when learning about the craft.
