Hunters
The Hunters Guild was established as the ultimate human answer to being low on the totem pole. Men and women not only trained highly in their athleticism and knowledge of supernatural strengths and weaknesses, but equipped themselves with many different weapons and gadgets to take advantage of their supernatural enemies. Hunters have a history with nearly every supernatural race. Their training is one of legend, pushing the human body to its natural limits and training the mind to be tough. Hunters are known to be more resistant to pain and mental or emotional manipulation. Their bodies are in peak physical condition, capable of running fast, climbing, and skills of weaponry.
The largest part of their history and even the origins of the Hunters lay in the war between humans, vampires, and werewolves. Both the vampires and the werewolves had been using humans as their fodder to breed and create more of their kind and inflate their numbers. It was against both these races that the Hunters Guild established themselves as a true presence and threat in the world against all that may target humans. In the Blood Wars of the 18th century, they rose victorious over the vampires, chasing them back into the darkness from which they came and instilling hope and confidence in the human race as a whole.

Hunters soon became the soldiers of the race in a way. They were called to different towns to take care of all threats: vampire, fae, werewolf, possessed. The hunters have always been capable of holding the line against many supernaturals. However, a lot of that is made possible by the witches and warlocks. They provide the hunters with sigils and traps, even spelling their weapons to be more precise and effective against the supernatural races. Because of this, hunters maintained almost an alliance of sorts with the witches. Though, they only worked together when both sides would benefit from it. In the end hunters are loyal to their own as well as the witches

and warlocks. Usually only in the case of covens getting out of hand do hunters go toe to toe with the witch and warlock community. Since witches tend to adhere to very strict tradition and acceptable uses of magic, it is often overlooked when people pushing the boundaries of those rules are confronted by the hunters.

As time passed on, so did the realities of supernaturals in the eyes of the general public. Vampires, werewolves, fae, and posssessed turned into stories and myth and most people did not believe them to be real at all. As a consequence, the number of people deciding to be hunters also began to dwindle and become less and less. Where there used to be many Guilds not only established, but thriving all over many countries, there only exist a handful now. Hunters can often be regarded as delusional or fanatical when they try to make others aware of the very real threat of supernaturals.

Hunters are dependent on weapons and outside help in order to help them with their goals. These can be anything from weapons specifically catered to the racial weaknesses of a supernatural, to special tonics or sigils (stored spells on an item that will be activated once an action is performed, like adding a drop of blood or something). Using tonics to enhance their speed or strength, however, causes the hunter to become more withdrawn from their humanity.

Hunters tend to be obsessed with their mission, often times loosing sight of all around them in their quest to complete their mission.
